GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Membership of AFRI-SEC College is based on study time, professional competence, academic research, and relevant industry experience in the various security domains such as Industrial Security, Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Military, and General Safety Practice. Prospective members will have the opportunity to qualify for membership by participating in, and completing at least 5 accredited courses or certifications promoted and organized by AFRI-SEC College and its partner institutions around the world, before being eligible to apply for its membership. In other words, prospective members must have registered, participated in and completed at least 5 general or specialized training courses and certifications or completed a minimum of 400 study hours organized by AFRI-SEC College or its partner institutions within a given period, to qualify for membership.
Note that an individual is deemed to have completed a course when a “Certificate of Competence” is duly issued and verified by AFRI-SEC College.
All Certificates of Competence issued must be presented for screening before being eligible to acquire the professional membership.
MEMBERSHIP SPECIAL CONSIDERATION
Notwithstanding the above, AFRI-SEC College will Consider all security, safety, intelligence, military or law enforcement personnel (serving or retired) with at least 20 years hands-on experience in the relevant field based on the recommendations of the Membership Review Board. Prospective candidates in this category will submit their detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Professional Citations for vetting and approval by the Membership Review Board.
All approved membership application or requests will be published on the membership page of the AFRI-SEC College official website.

- Student: This category is open to college or university students who are studying for diplomas or degrees in security-related courses such as Law Enforcement, Criminology, Forensic Sciences, Military Studies, Police Studies, Homeland Security Studies, Psychology, etc.
Moreover, private individuals who are interested in pursuing a career or simply learning about the aforementioned disciplines may also apply for this category.
- Associate: This is for serving professionals in the security industry with minimum 5 years of proven work experience both in private or public security sectors who are desirous of leveraging the robust network of industry leaders to grow their professional net worth and advance their careers.
- Member: This category is for serving or retired professionals in the industry, with demonstrable track record of service in both private and public sectors spanning a minimum of 15 years.
- Senior (Full) Member: This category is for serving or retired professionals in the industry, with demonstrable track record of service in both private and public sectors spanning a minimum of 20 years.
Eligible candidates for this category are veterans in their respective areas of specializations in the relevant security domains.
- Fellow: This is the highest membership category in AFRI-SEC College, eligible candidates for this category are carefully selected, scrutinized and background checked for highly-level integrity, industry reputation,
service records, and verifiable contributions to the global security industry, etc. Notwithstanding the above information, all categories of membership, except for Student members, are subject to the General membership Eligibility clause stated earlier. Moreover, qualified members can strive to meet the applicable elevation criteria to advance from one category to a higher category by completing series of special training courses as may be announced from time to time.
MEMBERSHIP INDUCTION, CERTIFICATES AND RECOGNITION INSIGNIAS
All duly approved candidates for professional membership of AFRI-SEC College will undergo a compulsory INDUCTION CEREMONY which may be conducted onsite or virtually on a designated date and time. Duly inducted members will be issued Membership Certificate, and Lapel pins where applicable. Soft copies of Membership certificates will be mailed to all inducted members.
Please note that Student members do not need to participate in the Induction Ceremony.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES
All duly inducted members of AFRI-SEC College are required to pay an annual membership fee as part of their obligations to the institution. Payment of membership fees validates the membership of the individual for 12 calendar months after which they are required to renew annually for life.

APPROVED PROCEDURE FOR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION All prospective applicants for AFRI-SEC College professional membership are required do the following:

b. Attach a detailed professional CV, stating all completed AFRI-SEC College or HSIIS courses and certifications with “Certificate of Competence” (for standalone courses) or Full Certification (e.g. CPSM, CINTA, CPI, CSM, etc.)

d. Approved membership applicants will be notified via email, with details of other important requirements needed to complete the FINAL process.
